Privacy Policy
A house that collects little has little to explain. What it does hold, it holds carefully. This page says in plain words what Savonije collects, why, and what your rights are.
This policy takes effect on the date of its publication.

Savonije is a small house making handmade jewellery in gold-plated sterling silver and baroque freshwater pearls. Its shop is https://savonije.eu, and this policy covers what happens there.
What we collect and why
Orders
When you place an order we collect your name, billing and delivery addresses, email address and the contents of your order. We use these to perform the contract: to take payment, dispatch the piece and stay in touch about your order. Invoice data is kept for seven years, as Dutch fiscal law requires.
Customer accounts
You may create an account at checkout. It holds your details and order history, and is kept until you delete it or ask us to.
Payment
Your card, iDEAL or Bancontact details go directly to the payment provider. The shop never stores them. The provider runs automated fraud screening on transactions.
Contact form
If you write to us through the contact form we keep your name, email address and message for twelve months.
That is all. The shop runs no analytics, sets no advertising pixels, keeps no marketing lists and builds no profiles.
Cookies
The shop sets functional cookies only:
- WooCommerce session and basket cookies, which keep your basket together while you shop
- LiteSpeed cache cookies, which help pages load quickly
- Stripe fraud-prevention cookies (__stripe_mid and __stripe_sid), set by our payment provider to protect the checkout
All of these are strictly necessary for the shop and checkout to work, so no consent banner is required and none is shown.
Who receives your data
Savonije shares data only with the services that keep the shop running:

SureForms and SureMail, the tools that handle the contact form and outgoing mail, run on our own server and pass nothing to third parties. LiteSpeed Cache processes no personal data while its external QUIC.cloud services are switched off, and they are.
Transfers outside the EU
Stripe Inc. and Automattic Inc. are established in the United States. Transfers to them rest on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, where applicable, on Standard Contractual Clauses. Everything else stays in the EU.
Your rights
You may ask for access to your data, for correction or erasure, for restriction of processing, or for a portable copy, and you may object to processing. Write to info@savonije.eu and we will answer. You may also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Security and changes
The site runs over TLS and is hosted in the EU. When this policy changes, the new version is published here with its own effective date.
