Handcrafted baroque pearl jewellery in gold-plated silver. Each piece made by one maker in the EU.
One Maker, One Vision
Savonije is my last name. It is also the name I chose for jewellery that reflects how I believe things should be made: with time, with care, with materials that deserve respect.
I design every piece. I make every piece. This is not a factory operation with my name on it. When you order from Savonije, you receive jewellery that has passed through my hands from first sketch to final polish.

Why Every Piece Passes Through My Hands
Machine-made jewellery is consistent. Handmade jewellery is intentional.
Every solder join is placed where it needs to be for that specific piece. Every pearl is selected for how it balances on the chain, how it catches light, how it moves. Every finish is applied by hand, checked by eye, adjusted until it feels right.
This takes longer. It costs more. It is worth it.
The jewellery you wear every day should be made by someone who cares about how it feels against your skin, not just how it photographs.
Honest Materials, Chosen with Care
The Pearls
Baroque freshwater pearls, chosen for their natural variance, not despite it. These pearls are never twins. One rounder, one more teardrop. One catches light differently than the other. I choose them that way. Organic shapes that feel found rather than manufactured. The kind of beauty that does not announce itself.
The Metal
Gold-plated sterling silver, hand-finished until it catches light like water. I am honest about what this is: silver base with gold plating, not solid gold. The elegance comes from design and craftsmanship, not material preciousness. With proper care, these pieces will serve you for years.
The Chains
Selected for weight and drape, not just how they look in photographs. I test everything. The way a chain falls, how it warms against skin, whether it tangles or lies flat. These details matter.
What Sets Savonije Apart
Actually Handmade by the Designer
Not “designed by me, made by factory.” Every piece passes through my hands.
EU Produced
Built for Longevity
Construction methods that prioritise decades over seasons.

Built for Years, Not Seasons
I make jewellery for how it will be worn. Daily, for years, becoming part of someone’s life. Simple forms. Quality materials. Construction that does not take shortcuts.
This means no trends that will not age well. No unnecessary ornamentation. No compromise on material quality. No rushing work to meet arbitrary deadlines.
The result is jewellery that feels timeless because it is not trying to be anything other than well-made. Light enough to forget, beautiful enough to remember.
